Cancer

Cancer is caused when cells lose their function and continue reproducing until eventually they kill the patient. For example, if a lung cell becomes cancerous it loses its function as a lung cell and continues to grow until the lung becomes incapable of functioning. What is more, these cells can spread in the blood stream and set up growths elsewhere in the body, so what starts as lung cancer can become liver cancer.

In fact, cancer cells are formed all the time in the body but usually they are destroyed by the body's own immune system. So when looking at the cause of cancer there are two questions. Firstly, why do more cells then usual become cancerous and secondly, why does the body's own immune system kill these rogue cells?

Cells communicate with adjacent cells by using minute electromagnetic pulses. These pulses keep the cells functioning as, for example, lung cells or liver cells. If the pulses get disturbed for any reason then cancer can result. There are two main reasons why this can happen. The first is that background electromagnetic radiation can interfere with it, which is why mobile phones and power lines can induce cancer. The other is if the body gets run down then this internal energy can get diminished. This internal energy is related to karmic energy, which I've mentioned before ('Sex in the 21st Century')

Another cause of cancer is related to the lymphatic system. Unlike the blood supply which is pumped with the heart, the lymphatic system has no pump and relies on movement. This is why lack of excise is a contributing factor to cancer. It's also why cyclists get cancer of the testicles and why women who wear bras that are too tight can get breast cancer.

There is a general problem in the West with people suffering from a diminished immune system. Not only AIDs but also a general problem with people suffering from minor illnesses. There is also the problem of auto-immune diseases: asthma, arthritis and a number of other diseases, which are thought to be auto-immune, related. The causes of this are many. Immunisation is an assault on the immune system and there is a strong relationship with psychology, which I'll talk about later.
