Earthquakes and Pole Flipping
When Alfred Wegener first put forward the idea of continental drift and formed the basis of what is now called plate tectonics in 1915, he was dismissed as a crank. His ideas were not accepted until 1960, some 45 years later. This is pretty typical for the scientific community but even among scientists those studying earthquakes seem to be the most rigid in their thinking.
It has been found that the magnetic poles reverse periodically and there is some speculation as to when the next reversal will take place. Most scientists put it some thousands of years into the future. However, there are some reasons to be concerned with events going on currently.
Disturbances at a deep level effect seismic activity near the surface and an increase in activity, even in different parts of the globe, indicate stresses at these very deep levels.
There will be upheavals in the Arctic and in the Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanoes in the torrid areas, and there will then be the shifting of the poles so that where there have been those of a frigid or semi-tropical will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow. - Edgar Cayce
Mohammed prophesied the last days as coming when there are a number of earthquakes and when the sun rises in the west. This indicates more than simply a magnetic reversal but an actual movement of the earth. In fact, the crust will move in relation to the molten core.
New age people sometimes refer to Earth as Gaea. Mostly this is invoked by the
fringe feminists/new-agers/wiccans who have a naive understanding of feminine
energy. However, there is some substance in the view of the earth as a being.
I've mentioned before about angels and their inability to have free will. In
this regard the Earth, along with the sun, moon and all the celestial bodies,
can be seen as angels. They follow their prescribed course and are unable to
deviate from it by so much as a millimetre. They obey the command of God. If
the Earth was to flip and cause untold destruction to the human race then this
is the command of God. Native Americans say that their ritual dances were essential
to maintaining the smooth running of the world. When they stopped they said
the end was inevitable.
As we enter 2004 we are likely to see an increase in seismic activity as well
as other global disruptions. This isn't global warming due to greenhouse gasses
but for complex reasons that scientist have absolutely no conception of.
