On Dreams and Dreaming
Dreams are an alternate world. When we wake up, even if we don't remember the dream, we have a feeling, what I've called an impression. These impressions are one of the ways that dreams guide our lives. When you dream, you create everything in the dream. You create the world, the people and all that happens. And everything in it has a significance.
There's a technique to enable you to understand the meaning of a dream which involves 'becoming' the objects or people in the dream. If you dream, for instance of being with someone in a lift then you put yourself in the position of the other person. You become them and talk as if you are them Then you do the same with the lift and so on. Everything has a significance.
In the Bible in says that God created man in His own image. In the same way as we create worlds in our dreams, God creates, and continually re-creates, the world we live in, and in the same way as everything in our dream has a significance everything in our world has a significance. It's not usually possible, however, from our limited perspective to gather the full meaning of what happens around us.
It's been said that as you become closer to God the more energy you gain and the manifestation of the world around you becomes more immediate. Your effect on the dream of life is enhanced. It's like the way gravity effects the space time continuum in a four dimensional universe. The more gravity an object has, the more it dents the fabric of the universe until if there is enough gravity to form a black hole it breaks a hole in it. So we effect the world around us until, if we gain enough energy, we break through into a separate reality. Then we come in contact with the reality behind the dream of this world, what Plato referred to as the shadow world.
